Na Macaret Pictures

Image
Rental at Sa Costa #9 (ground floor unit, see red arrow) View of our rental from the water (see red "x"), approximately 50 steps from the beach Looking up the street towards the "El Raco" bar where you buy your morning croissants (that's our neighbor Paca in the red)
Image
Front door of our rental (where they used to store the boats of the fisherman in the village) Looking out the front door towards the street (with beach supplies at the ready) Inside the unit, furnishings are modest, but very comfortable
Image
Table in front room Futon in front room that folds down for extra sleeping space (the fishing net is an antique net from the Barcelona Santa Catarina market) Modest but comfortable front room, with new television that includes local Spanish channels and ability to view certain programs in "original version" (e.g., in english). All rooms have ceiling fans to aid the cross-breeze at night.

Looking around the front room ... The "twin" bedroom ... where our 3 year old son slept (note the daybed is turned around so that the frame acted like a guardrail!) ... This bed actually has a trundle underneath that pops up to create a nice-size, queen bed for two View from the "double" bedroom into the front room Looking from the porch at the back of the unit through the three bedrooms towards the front ... bathroom is directly on the right at the back of the unit
Image
View from the twin bedroom looking out to the front room... Looking around the front room - the new fridge... A view of the kitchen.... it is original to the house, and contains a well where the unit's water comes from (Again, these pictures were not intended as "vacation rental" shots, but were taken for our own personal use, so we're sorry for the messiness factor! Unfortunately they are all we have to give you an idea of the space...) Looking at the beach from our front porch ... a lovely, brief stroll to the sand or to the waterfront promenade area where we walk or fish at sunset
Image
Our gorgeous, protected "Cala Na Macaret", a great beach for children or for people looking to get out of the tourist zone Typical boats in Na Macaret ... and the fishing off the promonade is great The beautiful harbor in neighboring Addaia
Image
View of Na Macaret from the nature preserve directly across the water (we kayak over there, it's lovely and quiet) Our unit taken from the back side, which also is on the water ... the units were originally built into the rocks as boat houses, so you can see that there is literally water all around (and from this side there are a couple of deep water diving spots, very beautiful) Another shot of our unit taken from the kayak on the water... The inside of a very local bar "Es Raco", where we get our daily baked goods (croissants, bread, ensaimadas)... it's also a great spot to sit with an afternoon coffee and play board games (that they provide)
